SOUTHERN ILLINOIS

ARTS TRAIL

The Southern Illinois Art Trail promotes all of the arts in Southern Illinois including galleries, museums, performance venues, retail spaces, exhibitions, and spaces where the public can participate in making art. We are designing a physical version of the map and a physical list of the locations. We will also be providing a digital version on this site.

HELP US FIND SPACES

In order to make this project successful, we need help from our community. We need YOU to let us know what public art and spaces should be featured on the trail.

To be included, a location must:

  • Be a physical place in the Southern Illinois trail region

  • Be open to the public on a regular schedule

  • Let visitors walk in without an appointment, membership, or class enrollment

  • Have visual art on display, or offer a drop-in creative activity

  • Murals must be visible from a public street, sidewalk, or parking area.

Not included: private or home studios, appointment-only spaces, and classes or spaces that require enrollment or membership.
